Apartment Review for The Lofts At Canal Walk - Richmond, VA

Anything you have read is true. I have been living here for over a year and do not like it. I would not recommend it to anyone. First off the elevator breaks ALL the time. When I say all the time I mean all the time so if you dont live on the 2nd floor its a hassel. I'm pregnant and suppose to be on bed rest but yet i have to take 6 flights of stairs anytime I want to leave this place. The people who work here may seem nice but once you sign the lease here they turn into people who dont give a crap. Everytime I see anyone who works here I feel like I have done something wrong because of their attitude. I park in the garage which is also extra and went to get in my car and there was 2 inches of water around it. How am i suppose to get in my car without soaking my shoes. It's not like the garage gets alot of air so it can dry out so I've had to deal with this for almost 2 weeks. I asked someone who worked here about it and they just looked at me like I was speaking to them in french. They also take forever to fix things. If anything breaks in your apartment you better hope you can fix it or it will NEVER get fixed. Like I said before they do not care once you sign that lease. Also my lease was to be up in October but you are suppose to give a 90 day notice so we have to pay for another month and cant leave until the last day in november. I have never lived in any apartment where you have to give a 90 day notice. That makes so sense to me. Also they raised the rent so we have to pay even more for that one extra month. The hot water heater sucks. They only turn it up to 100 degrees so if you cant climb up to the hot water heater you are going to take cold showers all the time. Luckly my boyfriend knows what he is doing so he turned it up after they came into our apartment a put some kind of setting on the hot water heater so you couldn't turn it up at all. The HIGH speed internet they advertise is bullshit excuse my language. When I first moved here it was high speed internet but they dicide to change it a couple months later so what I was once getting for free I have to now pay for and its not even faster. Also I always have problems with it and have to call them. It's a miricle I am even on right now. I have even talked to people who work here (maintence) and they do not even like working here. They also agree with me on how rude that leasing office is. So the whole thing they say about new staff is also bullshit! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone EVER!!
