Apartment Review for Trolley Square Apartments - Richmond, VA

Future tenants. I lived on trolley square for one year and together with all the other residents, experienced poor quality services, from the elevators to the management. When I moved, finally I thought my problems were over, but I was completely wrong. I moved on may 13th, 2005, and until today, october 10th, I did not receive my security deposit back. I was told that there were an error in my file and that's why literally the deposit vanished from my account, as I did not pay for it. My documents have disapeared and as I moved from my unit

and the company was sold, they tried to tell me nothing could be done, but I insist I was right and although my deposit was not that big, I wanted it back. I had to go to the office and show them my lease so they would believe me. I also had to call several times and no action was made. They always call back and everything should be fixed soon, but nothing happens. I am waiting a couple of days to go to the small courts claims, so my case might be solved.

The problem is the building is bad, the rent high and the services are terrible and after you move, you basically has to tell them you will sue them to receive your money back, due to an error of them, not mine.. Hopefully my case will be solved soon. Please consider carefully not livinf there. For the same price or cheaper, you can live on the fan ( as I do not), take the bus to VCU and have a better life quality in a different place. They abuse the system, because the buiding is close to VCU and they rent to students. Keep all corespondences with them, take notes for the calls tou make, WRITE DOWN the names of the employees. if you have an option, do not live there, it is not worth it. I hope sharing these problems will make other tenants aware of the problem of living in such a bag place.
