Apartment Review for Staples Mill Townhomes - Richmond, VA

We had been told we would have a view of the pool. NOPE instead we got a view of everyone heading to the pool area. (first lie). We were given an amount to pay when we moved in. I confirmed this amount not once but twice. They didn't charge us a portion. When we were late on rent we found out that they had given us the wrong amount to start with, they were over charging on the rent and they wanted over $1400 all at once. (um i would not have moved in here if i had that kind of money in one lump sum). My daugher had an outfit ruined by the filth on the "tot lot". There is broken glass everywhere. As well as dog crap. I have the hardest time with parking. I end up parking a nice walk away (hard with 2 little ones when they are sleeping). I have had things stolen right off my patio. The office is such a joke. I can never get a call back (never have). I had a gathering and could not get parking passes even after many trips to the office. They were closed everytime regardless of the time. I have had questions for them and have not been able to ask due to the "restaffing" since we moved in. They are never around. Maintenance, don't get me started. they have not fixed one thing in the time we have been here. They have been here but not fixed a darn thing. My husband ends up fixing the things. Pets roam the place. I have had cats and dogs try to come in with me. They allow dangerous dogs. They advertise "spacious" there is no space at all. I have no dinningroom table because there is no place for the toys. All of us have been woken up by loud neighbors. There is always trash on the ground. I could go on and on about how horrible this place is. Basicly, this is the last place I should have moved my family into. I would have been happier living on the streets
