Apartment Review for Park West End - Richmond, VA

The apartment complex area is nice itself and located in a good location, between downtown Richmond and the west end area. I feel secure and safe. I like my apartment, it's spacious and fulfills my needs at this point and time. The leasing office, they are friendly-- however depending on who you speak with...issues may or may not get resolved in a timely fashion. Maintenance is interesting-- one guy is very friendly, helpful, and knows what he is doing. The others are questionable in their ability to fix anything and kinda give off creepy vibes. Noise is an issue sometimes if your unit is near a family with children or young ppl who play loud music b/c the walls are pretty thin. The leasing office will proclaim noise is taken seriously with some "3 strikes your out" policy, however it is not the case. You will be told to speak with the ppl causing the noise first-- a task that should be taken care by the complex, not you. There are times that you are told they will take care of it, yet it seems like they don't. You will be told to call the police by the office- the police do resolve the issue b/c it's the police and residents take it seriously when they show up at their door- but who really wants to call the police every single time noise levels start to bother you? Overall it's a good apt. complex area and noise may not be an issue if you have good neighbors.
