Warning- Property has NO Management
Review Date: 4/11/2007 Reviewer: Anonymous
The apartment itself is fine, maybe even a little better than the rest of the fan. It has been updated, but still no garbage disposal. It's the lack of management and utter disrespect that Im warning you against. Before I give you the low down let me try to qualify myself to you, the reader. Im a BBA Finance degree holder, licensed to trade financial securities (series 7,6,63), well employed as a Financial Analyst and well like at my company, and I have many close friends and family members. All in all, my head is on straight. People read below, I tried to take out a lot of the color commentary and just give you the facts with a little example story behind it. Just remember that your home-my home- is everything. Its the place I go when Im happy and sad or just want solitude and safety. Remember that when you rent part of your rent goes to property management. You should expect your management office to be responsive and respectful. Everyone is trying to run a business and make a profit, some do it better than others. Please help me take a stand against companies like Metro Properties that are poorly run and like to run over their clients with Mac Trucks. In fractions that Metro Properties imposed upon me: 1. Failure to ever give 24 hour notice of entrance into my unit a. Management scheduled and gave keys out to my unit anytime they wanted and never once called, emailed, text-ed or dropped off a note announcing their intended entrance. 2. Acknowledgement of entry not given a. After a service person lets themselves into my unit they didnt even leave a professional courtesy note stating their presence. b. Once when I actually requested maintenance I called back 3 times and had them show up 3 times because I never knew they came in the first place. 3. Inconsistent office services a. Just before my 2nd year lease was expiring the acting manager left and a new high school grad took over. In the past, they had sent out a nice letter stating that my lease was about to roll over unless I signed the document stating that Im giving my required 60 day notice. I was used to this kind of treatment. The new manager didnt send out the roll over letter b/c she has been too busy since the other girl left. b. In essence Metro Properties locked me into a 3rd year lease because they were short staffed. 4. Non-professional office staff: a. failure to return calls b. cannot answer any questions without getting back to you c. phones not answered at office hours stated (especially in the mornings- Im guessing someone is always late) d. no manners or courtesy (phones answered with a yeah or hi typically-- the company name never stated and the person answering the phone never states their name (bear minimums when answering an office line) Also check out my blog at: http://warningaboutmetroproperties.blogspot.com/ |
