Apartment Review for Hunters Ridge Apartments - Richmond, VA

Hunter’s Ridge? Oh where to start. To preface, we’ve lived in many apartments in which we’ve been satisfied. I’ve also written positive reviews about those apartments. Hunter’s ridge is not one of those places. Maintenance – We’ve had only one working burner on the stove. We’ve reported it 6 times. The problem has never been fixed. The maintenance people are friendly, but they never completely fix a problem. Plumbing-We’ve had leaky faucets and reported them 10 + times with no solution. One of the maintenance people actually told us to keep reporting it. He explained that if a problem were reported enough the leasing agency would finally agree to replace the broken part instead of continually applying a band-aid/quick fix. This practice of wait-until-we-absolutely-have-to-fix-it is emblematic of the quality of customer service here at Hunters Ridge. They do the bare minimum to get by. Another story about plumbing goes like this. We are on a top unit and the tenants below us had a problem with their plumbing, so our plumbing had to be shut off. The first time HR put us up in a hotel for the night. The second time our plumbing was cut off for a day with no warning. Noise-A few of my neighbors pretend that they live in sound proofed recording studios. They seem to not understand simple apartment etiquette. My current downstairs neighbor plays the drumset, the bass guitar, and loud Tejano music. I’ve told him three times to turn it down. I’ve also reported a noise disturbance to the leasing office. No change. Leasing office staff –They don’t acknowledge you walking into the office. They’ve been rude, unfriendly, and unsympathetic. They have even fought and bickered amongst themselves in front of tenants.
