Apartment Review for E Carlton Wilton Inc - Richmond, VA

This place isn't safe. There used to be a murderer living here until they arrested him, shot some person and appeared on the news. I am convinced people are dealing drugs in our parking lot. There are parking problems, although the staff will deny any such claim (yet they printed comments about the parking problems in the monthly resident paper the management puts out). These apartments are incredibly cheap, you can hear any noise throughout the units (I can hear my neighbors phone ring). They cost a lot to heat and cool because the insulation is non-existent, the front door / front window are extremely drafty. The water heater is poorly designed and they could care less how much more you have to spend on utilities because of the ultra-cheap construction. Some of the people in the units are nice, but the management are unbelievably unhelpful. They ask you if you want anything when you go to renew your lease and they smile and respond they can't do anything about what you requested. They will smile and nod and do nothing. If you do anything that doesn't follow the rules to the T they will try to evict you and charge you all sorts of fees. Be assured the pricetag for these apartments is no bargain, you end up in the worst possible situation for the money. Spend a little more and live in a decent complex.
