Apartment Review for Chesterfield Village - Richmond, VA

DO NOT MOVE HERE… I lived there for one year and would have moved out sooner if not for the money. The place is 80 to 90% Mexican, which wound not have been a problem except the culture difference. You cannot look at them in the eyes or they think your hitting on them and follow you around the building when you’re walking your dog. They gather outside the apartment talking on their phones, drinking, blasting music because 10 to 15 live in each unit. Trash is everywhere either beer bottles to chicken bones. They have a stray cat problem in the back which spreads move trash everywhere and be careful to not hit one. My car got broken into along with my boyfriends. One time in the middle of the day someone tried to enter. I was there thankfully and I told my dog to attack, which cause him to leave. A girl a few buildings up got broken into (apartment and car) and was raped. I witnessed drug deals, beatings, and muggings from my living room. The walls are paper-thin; you can here your neighbors arguing, talking, everything. The water pressure is very poor. Basically if you wanted to do laundry you had to listen to make sure no one else in the building was trying too. The dishwasher was pointless because of the water pressure, unless you liked food or soap on your dishes. The ceiling slowly leaked causing stains on the ceiling. The roaches were unbelievable. The office staff is terrible. Nice to get you in but once you sign that lease they could care less. Sarcastic, rued, and not organized. I asked around to the few neighbors I would speak to and not one wished they livid there. DO NOT MOVE HERE…
