Apartment Review for Heritage Pt./ Space Properties - Richmond, VA

As the other reviewers have stated- it starts out wonderful, but as soon as you sign the lease- it all disappears and so do the people. The apartment looks nice on the outside, but live there a few months and it starts to fall apart! And the maintenance knows that these apartments were not built correctly so they try to help as much as they can, but they can't fix some things because it has do with the foundation. My toilet continuously flushes for the past two years I have lived here. All contact is done through their website and if you call the West Broad Street Office they will not help you and they cannot transfer calls to any departments. You do not get any help in a decent turn around time. My cabinets in my kitchen fell off my walls and almost knocked me unconscious. I lost all my glassware and all they could say was- do you have any renter's insurance? When maintenance FINALLY came to look at it- they said that the cabinets were not installed correctly and it would be a matter of time before the rest of them fell off the wall. My stair rail also collapses on a regular basis because it was not installed correctly. They lost my security deposit when I first moved here and then magically found it 2 months afte I moved in. Thankfully I am moving out in a few weeks. But get this they sent me a Notice of Default because I did not pay my rent for the whole month of August when their office specifically told me to pay a pro-rated amount since I will be moving out before the month is over. AMAZING I know! They are truly idiots and if you like your sanity, health, and safety- PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE!
